Have a self-care tip that you’re dying to share? Did you read a book that you think is a must have for others in the helping professions? Or do you just have something on your mind that you think others might be interested in too?

Consider writing a guest post for Self-Care Magazine!

Here’s what you need to know:
Self-Care Magazine is currently accepting submissions between 500 and 2,000 words in length (longer pieces are acceptable if they can be broken up into a two or more part piece). We are not able to pay for submissions at this point, but you may include a link to you personal blog, website, or practice in the Author’s biography section at the bottom of the page.

All pieces must be original work. They should  pertain to self-care, compassion fatigue, burnout, secondary trauma or related issues. Articles should be useful to those in the helping professions, but can also appeal to a wider audience. You may also choose to write about a specific profession or type of work.

Of particular interest are:

  • Articles that are written from the point of view of people in different helping professions or aimed at members of a specific profession (i.e. health care workers, first responders, mental health counselors, etc.)
  • Articles that are written from diverse racial/gender/age/ethnic perspectives
  • Book Reviews
  • “How to” articles
  • Articles that explain different aspects of self-care, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, or burnout
  • Self Care Tips and Practices

You must link to references for any facts or statistics in your article.
